Frigid, winter wind whipping in our faces. Snow flurries, not enough to stick or make the ground slick, but the kind that makes you cold to the core. Doesn’t this seem like PERFECT weather for photographs? The Wolfe family was brave enough to face the elements. Therefore, this session is brought to you by cold noses, warm blankets, and snuggles between snaps of the camera!
I have had the pleasure of knowing Krysta for fifteen years! I transferred after my first year of college to West Virginia Wesleyan College. As a freshman, it seems everyone has the same end game: find your crew! It’s scary enough stepping out of your comfort zone and making friends when seemingly everyone has a common goal in mind. What people don’t tell you is that as sophomores, that is no longer the universal goal. People have, for the most part, solidified their friend groups. I was terrified to start from scratch on a new campus. So let me set the scene: while struggling with my new dorm room door, I hear a warm, welcoming voice say “I like your bedspread!” In all honesty, I wasn’t sure if she was talking to me or someone else, so me being, well, me, I make direct eye contact without speaking a word and entered the room. Fast forward, she was, in fact, talking to me and damage control was done. It didn’t take long to learn that she is one of those pure, kind to their core, humans. She gave me some comfort when I desperately needed it and she has been a bright spot in my life ever since!
While being friends with Krysta, I’ve had the pleasure of watching her grow both personally and in her partnership with Adam! They started dating in 2006, then married in 2010. I’ve gotten to witness them tackle graduate school, moving both in and out of state, starting and changing careers, and becoming selfless, amazing parents together.
The goal is to have your friends marry someone equally as amazing as you believe they are, right? Mission accomplished! The way these two are at complete ease with each other and continually laughing together is something so special to witness, and it spills into the way they love their children as well. Bonus, she found a man that makes hands down the BEST crab cake I have ever eaten!
Krysta and Adam, thank you for braving the wind and the snow, and for being a wonderful example of marriage and family for all that know you!
